USCCA Phase 1: In phase 1 we will discuss;
- Developing a Home and Personal Protection Plan
- Situational awareness
- Self-defense Firearm Basics
- Defensive Shooting Fundamentals
- Proper operation and ammunition
- Safety, Safety, Safety
Gun handling will be discussed and practiced in the classroom.
There will not be live fire in Phase 1
You may find it helpful to bring a pen and pad of paper to take notes.
Snacks/refreshments are allowed in class. We will take a 40 minute lunch break and there may be additional recesses throughout the class.
Phase 1 is also an excellent stand-alone class designed to refresh firearm safety, firearm handling, firearm actions and ammunition and much more.
Conceal Carry Schedule
USCCA Phase 2: In Phase 2 we will discuss
- Legal Use of Force
- Violent Encounters and the Aftermath
- Basic and Advanced Skills
- Illinois Concealed Carry Rules and Regulations
In Phase 2 there will be a shooting session requiring you to supply you own firearm approved by the State of Illinois (any handgun designed to be shot with one hand fits the state requirement) as a conceal carry firearm.
We prefer that you use your own firearm. If you do not own one yet we do offer a 9mm or 22LR handgun for use during the qualification free of charge, otherwise you may rent a firearm from our gun shop at a rate of $12.00. Either will require the purchase of ammunition.
You will be required to take 30 shots in Phase 2, we suggest you bring extra ammunition. Most ammunition calibers are available at our well stocked gun range.
Eye and ear protection is required while on the range, you may either bring your own eye and ear protection or purchase equipment we have for sale.
There will be a 40 minute lunch period available and snacks/refreshments are welcome in the classroom.
Again it may be helpful for you to bring a notebook and writing utensil for note taking. There will NOT be a practice session in Phase 2.

3 Hour Re-Certification is $60.00
